Encouraging Words from Ralph Reed

Faith and Freedom Foundation Founder Ralph Reed rallied the troops with an inspiring pep talk at Binks Golf Club. Jointly hosted by Palm West Republican Club, the Republican club of Central Palm Beach County, and the Republican Club of the Palm Beaches, the event was a good kickoff to election season in this very important year.

Club Presidents Janeen Capizola, Tami Donnally and Melissa Andrews respectively welcomed Ralph to Palm Beach County and GOP Chair Sid Dinerstein gave an interesting introduction of Mr. Reed, going back to their collaboration during the 2000 contested election in the county.

Ralph Reed is no stranger to south Florida, having grown up in Miami, and he gave good description of how important swing state Florida is to the outcome of the Presidential election. Touching on a number of issues, he particularly examined the recent administration salvo in the war on religion.

Although Barack Obama could very well repeat his win here as in 2008, there is a path to victory for the GOP if we all work together. In a break out session after the main event, he went into more detail about the technology that F&F is bringing to the table and what will be required to win the day.

Mr. Reed said President Obama could not run on his foreign policy or economic record, so he would “bring a knife to the alley”. Excuse me? We have had 23 consecutive months of job growth totaling over 3 MILLION jobs added to our economy. When the President took over from George Bush, the stock market was stagnated at 6,000. Today it has reached l3,000. We were losing 700,000 to 800,000 December of 2008. Obviously, that is NOT the case now. Private sector jobs are flouishing l2,000 government jobs have been decreased. Government has gotten smaller, unlike the Bush years.

Osama bin Laden is dead & 22 of the top 30 Al Qaeda operatives have been taken off the field. General Motors is now the #1 automobile manufacturer in the entire world. The automotive industry has just received the largest profits in their entire l08 year history.

As for Mr. Reed & speaking of “ethics”, he lost his bid for Lt Governor of Georgia because of his ties to Jack Abramoff. Mr. Abramoff is now a convicted & released felon. Should Mr. Reed be giving ethical advice to anyone?

      How laughable.

Here are the facts. Since Obama took office (1/09 – 2/12):

      1.1 million more unemployed Americans
      Unemployment rate up 9% (8.3 vs 7.8)
      Gas per gallon up 83%
      Federal debt up 43%
Debt per person up $14K to $49K.
      Food stamp recipients up 45%
      Home values down 13%
6.4 million more Americans in poverty
Government Motors stolen from their bondholders and dealers and given to his Union friends.

And overseas: Afghanistan on fire, Egypt becoming radical Islamist and holding American hostages, Syria killing their citizens, Iran going nuclear, Russia an China laughing at us.

There has NEVER been a President as destructive to our country as Barack Obama.
